Un élève officier du 2e bataillon de l'ESM figure parmi les victimes du crash de l'Airbus d'Egyptair. Il s'agit d'un élève tchadien. Le commandement des écoles de Saint-Cyr n'a pas souhaité donner de détails.

Selon des sources tchadiennes, il rejoignait N'Djamena pour assister à un événement familial.
